Active Release Technique® is a soft tissue treatment used to treat problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves due to overuse. Due to injury, micro-tears, or loss of oxygen to muscles fibrous bands and adhesions develop between the tissues causing reduced range of motion, loss of strength and pain. The provider uses his hands as a wedge, apply focused directed tension with specific movement patterns to release these adhesions. This technique offers dramatically shorter treatment time with quicker results.
In his spare time, Dr. Fenton enjoys playing and coaching basketball, paddle tennis, volunteering at the Anti-Cruelty Society, researching new therapies and techniques, and supporting his Chicago sports teams.
